We Built an AI Formulation Co-Pilot for the Specialty Chemicals Industry. Try It Free.
IntelliForm is a prototype — honest, open-source, and already doing things that used to take months of lab time. We want your feedback.
The specialty chemicals industry is a $600B+ market that still reformulates largely by intuition, tribal knowledge, and expensive iteration cycles. A mid-size formulator might spend 6–18 months cycling through candidate formulations for a single product line — testing, failing, adjusting, repeating.
We think that timeline is a solvable engineering problem. Not with better lab equipment. With better intelligence.
What We Built
IntelliForm is Chemenova's AI-powered formulation intelligence platform. The prototype — available today, free, no login required — lets you:
- Run multi-objective optimization across up to 18 chemical properties simultaneously using machine learning surrogate models
- Score formulations on sustainability metrics aligned with ISO 14040/14044 life cycle assessment standards
- Use natural language to describe your formulation goals — no code required
- Generate Pareto-optimal candidate sets in seconds, not weeks
- Explore waste scores and circular chemistry pathways for each candidate
"This isn't a chatbot that looks up chemistry facts. IntelliForm reasons over the formulation space — it finds solutions that a human chemist would never reach in a single iteration cycle."
Why We're Releasing It as a Prototype
We're not a software company selling features. We're building a vertically integrated intelligence platform for specialty chemicals — one that connects formulation science, sustainability compliance, and manufacturing reality into a single system.
The prototype is how we build trust before we build a business model. We want chemical engineers, R&D leads, product managers, and formulators to put it through its paces — to tell us what matters, what's missing, and what would make their work meaningfully better.
Who This Is For
If you work at a specialty chemicals company — whether you're optimizing adhesives, coatings, agrochemicals, personal care, or industrial cleaners — IntelliForm was designed with your constraints in mind:
- Pressure to reformulate for REACH, EPA, or TSCA compliance without losing performance
- Sustainability reporting requirements that keep expanding
- Long lead times between ideation and lab validation
- Small R&D teams carrying the weight of large SKU portfolios
A note on scope: IntelliForm is not a replacement for your chemists. It's a force multiplier — a way to arrive at the lab with better hypotheses, fewer dead ends, and a shortlist that already accounts for cost, sustainability, and regulatory fit.
Open Source — For Now
The current prototype is fully open source under the MIT license. Our philosophy is simple: the more people who can see, test, and stress-test what we've built, the better the platform becomes.
Premium tiers are in development — starting with guaranteed pilot batch reformulation services (backed by our manufacturing partner ChemRich), compliance monitoring subscriptions, and an enterprise API. But the free tier will remain genuinely useful, not a marketing funnel.
What's Coming Next
- ChemSync: real-time supplier pricing and availability integration
- Certification outcome prediction from regulatory submission history
- Customer-specific constraint modeling (your equipment, your tolerances)
- Guaranteed pilot batch service: if it doesn't meet certification criteria, we reformulate at no cost

We're a small, technical team with deep roots in chemical engineering and AI. We're building in public because we believe the industry deserves better tools — and because the best feedback comes from people actually doing the work.
If you try it, reach out. If you have a formulation challenge that would be a good test case, reach out even faster.
